Even though recycling e-cigarettes is very time-consuming, it is always worthwhile. They contain valuable raw materials such as lithium, nickel and cobalt, which are key to the energy transition. With every e-cigarette collected, recyclable material cycles can be closed and hazardous pollutants removed.

From 11 to 13 July 2024, tens of thousands of festival visitors will once again make the pilgrimage to Openair Frauenfeld and transform the Grosse Allmend into one of the biggest hip-hop festivals in Europe. Quite a few of them will also be using disposable e-cigarettes. To ensure that these do not end up in the rubbish or on the ground, we have provided the organisers with vape collection boxes.

Caliente!, Zurich's biggest Latin festival, will take place from 5 to 7 July 2024. Hot rhythms and culinary delights will not only attract visitors to the Kasernenwiese in Zurich, but also us! Together with the support of Captain Clouds, we'll be collecting your empty vapes on the festival site.

From 27 to 30 June 2024, we will be in Eastern Switzerland at the Openair St. Gallen, where we will ensure the correct disposal of empty vapes. Be a vape recycler too and return your e-cigarettes.

The summer festival season has begun. We will be on site with our vape collection bins at Festi'Neuch in Neuchâtel and at Zurich Pride in Zurich to collect your empty e-cigarettes.

As a municipality or city, you are in direct contact with citizens. Inform them about the return options at points of sale or collection points.

With the advance recycling contribution (ARC) or 10 centimes per e-cigarette, manufacturers, importers and sellers, together with SENS eRecycling, ensure that e-cigarettes are disposed of properly in Switzerland. That's 10 centimes for the environment.

E-cigarettes are available as reusable or disposable products in a wide variety of colours and shapes. Puff bars are particularly popular with young people. But they also count as electrical devices and contain many recyclable materials that belong back into the cycle.
